Adv. and questions

2. Determine the goal of the ad (what is it selling?), and the targeted audience (can they be defined by age? gender? marital status? socio-economic background?) (at least two sentences per ad)

3. Discuss how each advertisement sells through suggestion or persuasion. (at least three sentences per ad)


1- Proactiv is selling a acne clearing product. This product is mainly being advertised for teenagers to young adults, there isn't a specific gender or marital status assigned to this ad.

2- This ad basically is telling you that no matter who you are, no matter if your popular, overweight, skinny, brown hair, blond hair, you can have perfect skin like Jessica Simpson. This ad makes teenagers and young adults associate nice skin with fame and success as well.
1- This advertisement for Mariah Careys new perfume "Forever" it addressing woman, married or unmarried. But this is one ad seems to be pointed towards the more wealthy. I say that because of all her jewelry, and her expensive look dress.
2- Through suggestion or persuasion this ad tells us that any woman can look and smell more wealthy and attractive with Careys new perfume. It shows a very successful woman, therefore showing you that you to can become successful.
1- This ad is for nike. Nike is advertised for all genders of all ages. Both wealthy and not.
2- Nikes ads persuades you to buy their stuff so that you can run faster, look better doing it, be more comfortable, and even jump from building to building. Just like most ads, this ad wants to make you strive to be better, and become better by using whatever they are selling.

    This is a fine start, though your work seems just a little bit rushed. Make sure you leave time to proofread your posts after you write them; I noticed a few careless grammatical mistakes. Adding more specifics would also help strengthen your posts. For example, what do you mean: "This ad is for Nike." What is Nike? Do you think this ad is selling a particular Nike product, or the brand as a whole?
